“A weekend in a beautiful environment, being nourished and nurtured by inspirational teachers”.  Yoga Retreat in the North East of England.

Twice a year I run very special weekend yoga retreats at the beautiful Minsteracres in Northumberland and bring other yoga teachers and massage therapists with me to help make it a great weekend. My yoga retreats are gentle and fun and declutter and reset the body and mind.  Give yourself a chance to have some time to slow down, breathe, enjoy the moment and nurture your body and mind.  Don’t worry how much or how little yoga you can do, just come away and enjoy the experience of a little mini break with benefits.

Minsteracres spring retreat 2013

Yoga at spring retreat 2013 in Minsteracres

Come and take time out and develop your yoga practice in a beautiful ballroom with a celestial duck egg blue and gold ceiling and 180 degree views onto the gorgeous Northumbrian countryside. Minsteracres is near Derwent Reservoir off the A68 and a wonderful base for exploring Hadrian’s Wall. This is yoga for real people living in today’s busy world. All are welcome on the retreat, men and women, all bodies and energies.
The retreat is suitable for beginners and also those with a deeper yoga practice. Perfect if you have never been on a yoga retreat before or want to try a gentle alternative experience. Yoga is personal and so we adapt it for all bodies. The wonderfully relaxed timescale of the yoga retreat allows you to do yoga that you cannot experience in a short weekly yoga class. You gain the benefits of a more sustained practice, together with feelings of perspective, restoration and calm. Nothing will be forced, we will not be coming to struggle with our bodies. The retreat includes yoga postures, meditation and relaxation.
Here are some quotes from previous attendees:
