Some moments from our Semibreve Yoga June 15th with Annie Ball and Samantha Coe

Thank you to everyone who came along to Jesmond United Reform Church yesterday for our morning of yoga and Annie’s most expressive, communicative, mesmerising piano music.  What a beautiful, lovely morning.  Good vibrations ran through.

From the comfort and relaxation of our mat, Annie played for us:

A Chopin Waltz and told us about George Sand

The Rustle of Spring by the Norwegian Composer Christian Sinding

Nocturne no.5 by John Field (originator of Nocturnes in fact)

Back to Norway for Grieg’s Notturno (one for Annhild!)

and we finished in France with D’un Vieux Jardin by Lily Boulanger, having heard something of Lily’s life and perspective.

We moved and breathed and just relaxed ….

The next Semibreve yoga event is 6.45pm Thursday June 27th at St Mary’s Heritage Centre.  I have tickets if you want to come.

Thank you Cat Hudson for our photos…
