His and Hers!
For those of you that don’t know me and my yoga;. here is a brief introduction. My first job was in arts marketing for Royal Northern Sinfonia and I have a lifelong love of music. I teach functional yoga for people just as they are. The aim of my yoga is to help you to the build functional strength that our bodies need and to come back to a state of peace within and a ground base for your nervous system. I use yoga to change emotional state to feel better afterwards, more confident, less anxious, free, so you can really let go and rest. Learning to breathe well and to relax and to live well. My classes are fun , warm and are tailored to people’s needs. I teach yoga in a variety of settings and to a variety of people; my open classes at St Mary’s heritage Centre, my work based yoga for companies, yoga in hospitals, to people from all ages, running group yoga, chair and individual yoga sessions.
Introducing the marvellous ……… Annie Ball
I love Annie’s playing. She is a soloist, a concert pianist , a sensitive accompanist, a teacher and promoter of all things piano related. Annie brings vitality and peace to her music and has a boundless interested in taking performances out of the concert hall and into unique spaces and contexts – hence semibreve yoga was formed. The semibreve, 4 beats, a hold, a pause, a long exhale, Om perhaps. Annie has performed in places such as The Peckham Rye Multi Story Car Park (!) and clubs and pubs around the region. She studied in London at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under the tutelage of Mikhail Kazakevich and Christine Croshaw.
